Pat is originally from Newcastle and grew up and went to school and university in the North East. From being a teenager she has always been part of a church community, and for many years had a sense of calling to ordination when it was still not possible for women to become priests. For much of her professional life, Pat taught Spanish and French as well as working as a freelance translator and teaching translation studies.
Pat trained for ordination with Lindisfarne Regional Training Partnership and was a curate at St Mary’s Monkseaton before being appointed as priest in charge here. She also does some teaching for Lindisfarne.
Pat is married to Julio, who is Spanish, and they have two adult children, and a mad Spaniel, called Benji.
